Application for Provider Access

Introduction

This document outlines the school's arrangements for managing provider access to pupils for the purpose of sharing information about education or training opportunities. These arrangements comply with the school's legal obligations under Section 42B of the Education Act 1997.

Pupil Entitlement

All pupils in Years 8-11 are entitled to:

  • Learn about technical education qualifications and apprenticeship opportunities as part of a careers programme, which provides information on the full range of education and training options available at each transition point;
  • Hear from a range of local providers about the opportunities they offer, including technical education and apprenticeships, through events such as options evenings, assemblies, group discussions, and taster events;
  • Understand how to apply for the full range of academic and technical courses.

Opportunities for Access

The school delivers a comprehensive Careers Education, Information, Advice, and Guidance programme. An overview of this programme can be found in the School's Careers policy, available on the school website. Providers are encouraged to contact the Careers Lead to identify the most suitable opportunities for engagement.
